Madam Christiana Nyumah started her business by selling vegetables on the side of the main street in her community and when the government started to reconstruct the road, she relocated to the campus of a nearby School, a very populated school in her community. The change of location affected her business greatly as her sales dropped drastically. She had to strategize to meet the needs of her newly found clients: the student populace of the school. She resort to selling popcorn and then added doughnuts, juices and ice water. Her business has since attracted many students and teachers along with some of her neighbors. Her plan is to own a food stand on the school’s campus where she would cater to the needs of her clients appropriately. She is requesting a loan of L$50,000.00 or $556.00 USD from the Foundation for Women for this purpose.
