A Note from Deborah, FFW Founder
These are the women we’ve helped. But thousands more are standing in line.
The Foundation for Women Liberia started giving microloans to one group of five women in Liberia in 2007. Since then, FFWL has helped thousands. Five years ago, the pictures showed helplessness. Today, the pictures show hopefulness.
As each woman takes on a microloan to start a business, she is eradicating poverty in her own household. Like drops of water in the sea, each ripple of success contributes to prosperity. The success stories of these women breed success in others by example. Women want to cure their own poverty. Children want to follow in the footsteps of their mothers. Poverty is a hopeless feeling but YOU can give hope for lasting change by supporting our microcredit programs with the purchase of this book.
