By volunteering with FFW you'll be joining a dynamic group of caring citizens who are committed to ending global poverty through microcredit. Since its inception in 1997, FFW has been able to serve over 300,000 impoverished women locally and globally because of a very strong team of volunteers who have donated countless hours of their time and money to the microcredit cause. FFW's volunteers form the core strength of the organization -- providing critical support in all areas of the organization.
Another way to get involved in volunteering is through mentoring. We have 13 groups all over San Diego that would love to have you as a mentor. Right now, we have a group of five women who come to our National City group that call themselves Team Muses. This dynamic group of professional women spends an hour, twice a month, with our borrowers teaching them valuable marketing, communication, and business skills. If Team Muses inspires you, call us today to set up a meeting to learn more.
Studies have shown the enormous benefits of volunteerism to an individual, his/her community and to the world as a whole. Our volunteers tell us that they have received an additional bonus after giving us their time and expertise - they've connected with a family of like-minded people who share their passion for service, sense of wonder and a zest for life.
If you have an interest in volunteering or mentoring and would like to meet a wonderful group of accomplished, dedicated and fun people, please contact the FFW office.
Every volunteer is required to be a member of the Foundation by making an annual payment of $50. When you enroll as a volunteer, we'll train you and assign you to the specific project that you wish to undertake.
