Foundation for Women Featured on
Cox Channel 4 San Diego
and Deborah Lindholm Inducted into the
San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame
SAN DIEGO – (March 8, 2006) The Foundation for Women (FFW) will be featured on San Diego Insider Magazine on Cox Channel 4 on Wednesday, March 15th immediately following the broadcast of the Padres game and then replayed several times over the following two weeks. The special will highlight the organization’s microcredit work.
On March 25th FFW Founder/Executive Director Deborah Lindholm will be inducted into the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame in celebration of her vision to connect and provide support for the poorest women locally and globally via microcredit.
The Foundation for Women, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was started in 1997 by Deborah Lindholm to build community and provide a structure for service. The FFW is a community that serves impoverished women and those with disease. Since its inception, the FFW has touched thousands of lives in the San Diego area, nationally and internationally. The Foundation supports women in transition, at risk, and in crisis as well as offering programs and events to inspire and educate all women with a special focus on the importance of wellness. These programs are made possible through memberships, grants, donations and countless volunteer hours from members.
