Join Foundation for Women for a very special and inspiring First Friday presentation. Nineteen-year-old George Washington University student and San Diego native, Hallie Stevens, is not your typical teenager. She spent last summer doing AIDS education in Malawi and just returned from spending 7 weeks working in an orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania.
Hallie will share stories from her tireless volunteer work in Africa, over a lunch of homemade African food from our local microcredit borrowers.

Cost is $20.

12th Annual Honoring Women in Our Lives Luncheon

Save the Date: The 12th Annual Honoring the Women in our Lives Luncheon is around the corner! Mark your calendars for Friday, September 24 at Liberty Station.

Come hear the heart-wrenching but inspiring story of Mariatu Kamara - from war victim to UNICEF Special Representative. Mariatu will be accompanied by Susan McClelland, acclaimed journalist and co-author of The Bite of the Mango. The memoir chronicles Mariatu's escape from war-torn Sierra Leone to her present home in Toronto. Both women will be available to meet and greet or sign books after the luncheon.

Wellness Group Meeting - Every 3rd Saturday of the Month at 11 a.m.

The Foundation For Women Wellness Group meets every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Foundation Center. The meeting is led by Barbara Insel. The purpose of the group is to support women who have had life threatening illness. The group focuses on techniques to help women heal.

Yoga Class - Every Tuesday from 4 - 5 p.m.

Join instructor Nicole Pisciotto and FFW members for a one hour yoga class at the Foundation Center. Nicole is very active in the San Diego Yoga & Healing Community. Her goal as a teacher is to help students to discover and embrace their true nature and inner peace. All ages and abilities are welcome.
