The 2007 Barona Cirque de l'Art - A Party With A Purpose!
On the evening of May 4th, 2007, the Foundation For Women membership and greater community gathered at the beautiful Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines for an evening of fine dining, beautiful art, inspired jewelry, lively music, and incredible generosity.
This year, Cirque de l'Art was supported generously by our title Sponsor, Barona Casino. Their gift was accompanied by a wide variety of donated items to our Silent Auction including gourmet gift baskets, artwork, spa packages, and even an original song!
The evening began with a social hour, giving guests a chance to view world-renown textile and fashion designer Zandra Rhode's signature pin collection. From there, guest enjoyed jewelry by FFW participants and marvelled at the artwork of Gene Nocon. Foyer music provided a delightful setting for perusing the offerings and catching up with friends.
As evening fell, the guests filed into the ballroom to view the silent auction tables and enjoy dinner and a gala presentation, which included a brief multimedia presentation about FFW's work (created by Deep Story Works) and a spirited live auction.
Altogether, the Foundation for Women raised $80,000 for its microcredit programs around the world while the attendees enjoyed a magical evening of art and music.
